Project's description

Located in a dense, rapidly evolving district of Rabat, the Academy requires a vertical solution to maximize its limited urban footprint. The project redefines the traditional university model, moving away from isolated lecture halls toward flexible, collaborative "learning labs" designed for the digital age. The architecture is designed to be an open book; high transparency and a vibrant central atrium ensure that learning is visible, social, and accessible, fostering a culture of curiosity and cross-disciplinary collision between students and faculty.

  • Technical Specifications:
      Acoustics:
Classrooms utilize micro-perforated timber ceiling baffles to achieve a speech transmission index (STI) of >0.75, critical for language learning.
      Passive Comfort:
A "thermal labyrinth" in the concrete basement pre-cools intake air, reducing the cooling load by 40% during Rabat’s humid summers.
      Safety:
The façade features integrated brise-soleil that functions as a passive security barrier while allowing unobstructed views out.
