Project's description

Casablanca is the "White City," defined by its modernist heritage. This project pays homage to that lineage not through nostalgia, but through material innovation. Situated on a tight urban plot in Anfa, the residence presents a mute, protective face to the street—a solid shield of board-marked concrete.

Inside, the fortress dissolves. The architecture is defined by transparency and the play of light through perforated metal skins. The traditional garden is replaced by a suspended aquatic atrium, creating a cooling microclimate at the heart of the home.

  • Technical Specifications:
      Materiality:
The façade utilizes "Self-Compacting White Concrete" with titanium dioxide additives, ensuring the surface remains pristine and self-cleaning despite the humid coastal air.
      Saline Resistance:
All external screening is marine-grade anodized aluminum, laser-cut to filter solar gain while resisting the corrosive Atlantic salt spray.
      Passive Ventilation:
The central vertical courtyard functions as a thermal stack, utilizing the "Bernoulli Principle" to accelerate natural airflow and exhaust heat through the roof terrace.
