Radical Contextualism & Bespoke Design
Perched on a coastal hillside, this project challenges the "sterile block" approach to hospital design. We deconstructed the program into a campus of light-filled pavilions separated by medicinal gardens, utilizing a "Green Lung" strategy to circulate fresh sea air. Every patient room is oriented toward nature, leveraging evidence-based design to lower stress levels and accelerate recovery. The architecture prioritizes mental well-being as equal to clinical excellence, creating a facility that feels more like a wellness retreat than a medical institution.
